Benefits of membership

Joining the USS Mawson provides members with the opportunity to meet new people who understand the enjoyment you get from your favourite TV shows and movies.  Who also understand what it is like to have a conversation about a fictional character and really know that it is just for fun!

We have club meetings, which are either face to face (bi-monthly in SA) or on-line and are usually held on Sunday nights at 8.00pm Central Australian Time. 

We also meet regularly at the Police Club, Carrington St, Adelaide for a meal (check Club News for dates and times). We also have events or functions that are outside of our regular meeting times, for instance participating in Science Week in Adelaide where we may have displays, give talks or have a quiz and film night.

What is MILK?

MILK is the on-line Institute to a Sci Fi fan‘s heaven. 

Here you will be able to test your self on your knowledge of ’geek‘ genres whilst gaining an intimate knowledge of your DVD collection.  You will be filled with senseless information that you will only be able to use at a Mawson quiz night or in discussions with other members.  BUT, you will receive recognition and in fact certificates to show the world that you are someone who is persistent in your pursuit of learning and knowledge. 

Meanwhile, you will be having the best fun!
